 Board Level Computing

This is the area where I spent many years in my career. I did participate when VME was born and I have followed every standard during the years, every standard that was posed to replace VME. At present I am following the PC technology in general and Compact PCI in particular. My projects include giving advice for OEM's that plan to out source and to use standard boards rather than to manufacture the basic computer elements in-house. Customers are OEM companies but also manufacturers and distributors of board level computers.

 


 

Telecom

The telecom area is the natural place to be when you are involved with board level computers. This business is confronting a revolution as big as what the PC has meant to the computer business. The new technology is based on the Internet standards and the giant telecom companies' competence in analog switching is suddenly not worth anything.
The result is that the telecom companies will buy standard/customized computer gear, and this market will explode.

  • Fault Tolerant and High Availability systems
